NATIONAL HEALTH CARE
June 23rd, 2009
There are at least two obvious problems with “National Health care”. maybe it is not obvious to all , but it is to the logical mind.
The first problem with national health care is the cost. The president estimated the cost are in the billions. The “Congressional Budget Office” estimates 1 trillion. and others estimate even more. Republican Senator Orin Hatch from Utah states national health care will cost the taxpayer 1.5 trillion. When it comes to estimates Obama has established a bad track record. I urge all to do their own research on this. His estimate on leaving Iraq was off. His estimate on the unemployment figure if the stimulus was passed was off. Lets face it Obama is a lawyer not an economist or mathematician. The 700,000,000,000 figure needed for the stimulus was pulled from the air. when questioned about this figure The answer was “we just needed a large number”. This repeated practice I’ll call the “Do and think strategy”. In school we had a workbook called the “Think and Do” book. Obama must have had the “Do and Think” book. Kinda backwards don’t you think. When we look at Obama’ work we see a lot of this. There is very little planning and a lot of pie in the sky goals.
Another problem with Obamas’ plan is the demise of the current health care system. Obama says we can keep are present care if we choose to. How do you keep something that goes out of business. The government health care program is publicly funded. National health care will have a bottomless checkbook and a printing press courtesy of tax cheat Tim Geitners’ Department of Treasury. How does a free market system compete when the competition has bottomless checking account. The free market encourages innovation, efficiency and reasonable rates to the consumer. Socialism undermines a free market system. It stifles innovation, efficiency, and value to the recipient. This country has become a world power through the free market in a very short time. We have past up nations that have existed for much longer periods than the United states. We also lead the world in health care. The National health care plan will destroy another part of our free market system and the medical superiority we now benefit from. Once private health care is gone if not before the rationing will begin. This has already been discussed by congress but they were told to keep that part quiet.
The list of problems on this subject is long. These are just the first two that came to my mind. I advise all to do more research on the fallout of National health care and the benefits of a free market system.
