I don’t even need to watch the video. What’s new? It’s no surprise that the cops would protect their own,…especially in defense of a moronic comment by the Kenyan.
But I want to make a few things clear…
Yes, Barak is ultimately wrong for making a comment on an issue that the President has no business commenting on (partial credit goes to the liberal media for presenting the question to him), especially when he admittedly did not have all the facts . And for the President of the US to call the Cambridge police “stupid” is, indeed, just stupid.
Next,…It should be clear to every sane, rational, liberty loving American who has seen the details of the incident that Mr. Gates should not have been arrested. After he showed proof of his identity, the cop should have walked away. Sorry, but being rude to a law enforcement officer (especially if you have done nothing illegal) is not a crime.
Although Mr. Gates (and subsequently Barak) is guilty of playing the race card, he did not break any law. Being a racist is not a crime (Hell, look at the latest Supreme Court nominee). Law enforcement today displays an “Us against them” attitude. The are out to make arrests and create criminals. Do what they say or pay a price. Yes, race is surely an issue in this day an age, but it was not in this case. This is just another illustration of how this country is turning into more and more of a police state. Alternative media (mainstream media, not so much) sources are chock full of examples of law enforcement abuse,…most of it going unpunished and often rewarded. Google “never talk to cops” and you will get a better idea. Beware.
After re-reading my post, I felt the need to clarify.
In no way, shape or form do I support Obama. I don’t like him. He is either evil or stupid,…or maybe some combination of both. He is helping to destroy this country and what it stands for. I assume that I have a similar opinion Prof. Gates. I’m sure he is a liberal loon, also (not to mention a racist and a bigot). People like this are bad for this country.
But, as previously posted, law enforcement in the US are on a very dangerous trend of abuse and misuse of authority. Undoubtedly, there are good cops out there. But by and large, the law enforcement community is not your friend.
