Illegal Immigrants..Victims or Criminals?

To hear the left say it, illegal aliens are nothing short of victims from their own governments. Victims of greed, and avarice to the extreme. People in dire need of love and compassion,we should be in awe that our reputation for goodness compelled them to grace us with their presence.
Mayhap we are even the ones responsible for their massive infultration, our flashy lifestyles, and belief that we are due this sort of life our own down fall. We visit their countries looking every bit like the rich American, why wouldn’t they dream of having the same? Does your child not want to be rich like his or her favorite superstar? It only makes sense that we brought this on ourselves, and therefore should atone for our sins.
In the most obvious sense, liberals are idiots. By their standards than, if a man becomes a drug addict because say, his favorite celebrity became one and he gets caught with the drugs, he should be able to get off on the “I want to be like them” defense. A new version of temporary insanity I would guess. Is that what the liberals think the illegals must have had when they crossed our boarders in order to “be like us”. A temporary, insane, lapse of judgement? A crime is not a crime, if one has good intentions while doing it according to a liberal it would seem. I think I will rob my local bank, and think about the vacation I will take with my family as I spend it. I can claim I had good intentions and see if this applies to me as well. Why am I envisioning, that standard won’t apply to me?
Apparently, the fact that it was easier when my grandmother and mother applied for citizenship, makes it some how that much more tragic for the illegals who chose to break into our country. A gallon of milk was also a dollar, and loaf of bread was a few cents. Can I ignore inflation and demand that my local grocer only charge me those rates as well? How far do you think that arguement will get me?
