NRA endorses Harry Reid. Chris Renault says it could be a political calculation to prevent a more active gun control senator from taking his place. I say do your homework before you vote and spread the word. I am also seeing republicans backing off just when we need them to take control of the house and senate. The latest gaffe by RNC chairman Steele is just one in a series of damaging statements to the Republican Party. We know the communists have infiltrated our schools, Hollywood, the media; It only makes sense they would try and put plants in not only groups like the NRA but also in the Republican Party. This is only a theory at this point; however, 2 years ago believing Obama was a Marxist was a theory too. I am now after looking at the facts considering it the truth.

Alisha I think it is great that you want to lower the crime rate. Unfortunately your theory is short sighted. If gun control is mandated will the criminals hand over their guns? Also if a gang member needs a gun to do his business will gun control stop him from buying a gun on the black market? When Australia banned guns the murder rate went up. In Kennesaw Georgia it is required that property owners have and carry guns. They have the lowest crime rate in the area. If you were a criminal would you think twice about entering a public place to commit a violent crime knowing most the patrons will be packing a gun? The communist movement has placed their tentacles in the democratic party for decades. Their long range goals would be harder to accomplish knowing the potential of a civilian militia which is approved of and encouraged by the constitution.
The left uses the excuse of lowering the crime rate in order to disarm law abiding citizens which threatens their government takeover strategy.
Alisha I myself don’t like guns around the home but I do look past the emotions and see the logic. I even went as far as writing a term paper as a young student on the importance of gun control. I had heard of children being killed by playing with guns and also thought that guns wouldn’t be available to the common criminal. My assumptions were based on emotions and not facts.
The reference of the public place and a potential violent crime actually came from someone I had worked with that grew up in a violent neighborhood. He had family members that were involved in criminal activity. He pointed out why violent crime was so low in Kennesaw. He spoke from his life experiences involving the criminal element. Please be advised of the left and their tricks. Keep your eye on the left hand as well as the left. The socialist democratic party is good at slight of hand and hidden agendas. Don’t get me wrong I question the right also. I take no one especially politicians at their words. I question with boldness and verify before falling in line. I love my country and I love all people even the ones that do wrong.

I don’t go for the idea that if Reid is out, another anti-gun person will be elected. Its up to all the gun owners to vote and keep a watchful eye. I live in Nevada, and Las Vegas has the majority of the population which are dems. Middle Nevada and northern Nevada are rural areas. 90% of us own firearms. We target practice and hunt. Reid has damaged this state,along with the companys who have their businesses in other countries. We have no jobs and with the bad economy the casino industry is in bad shape. Casinos don’t pay their employees well anyway.

I Thought you might appreciate this . .In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

It has the now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced, by new law, to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own
government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:
List of 7 items: Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent Australia-wide, armed
robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300
percent. Note, that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the
criminals did not, and now only the criminals still have their guns!
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins, home invasion robberies (with the people still at home) and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has so drastically decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns.
The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes,
gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow brethren, before it is too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, people are ‘citizens’.
Without them, they are ‘subjects’.
